Primary Care International (PCI) is a social enterprise passionate about strengthening primary healthcare in resource-poor settings. We partner with organisations working on the ground to build capacity in people and primary health care systems to get quality healthcare to all. PCI was founded in 2014 by leading British medical education provider for primary care practitioners Red Whale. Current partners range from the WHO and UNHCR through to Ministries of Health through to NGOs including MSF and the International Rescue Committee. The PCI Academy is a quality digital offer in the primary healthcare space. Aimed at primary care practitioners in low and middle income settings, all modules are developed by family medicine doctors and are based on the latest evidence and guidelines. The PCI Academy draws on PCI’s experience in primary healthcare workforce strengthening across 27 countries with 15 partners over the past six years.
We have launched the PCI Academy with Covid-19 e-learning content in response to the urgent requests for support we were receiving from front-line primary healthcare workers in very resource-poor settings around the world
